Where it all began

I was raised in the heat of beautiful Georgia summers. I ran barefoot, picked flowers, and swung from our willow tree in the yard. That is where my imagination got to run wild and free. Georgia is where I fell in love with the beautiful golden evening sunsets that I love to see playing in the backdrop of the family photos that I take. It created a dreamer and an adventurer out of me. I would eventually have children of my own and we would move to Colorado in 2011.

I started my professional photography journey in the fall of 2012 in Colorado Springs, though my love for taking pictures started in my childhood with cheap film cameras and my parents old Canon, that my dad still has today. Like a lot of photographers, my 4 kids have been such an inspiration in my career. They've been on this photography journey with me most of their lives, because as a mama, my family and my passion for art is all intertwined.

We would move back to Georgia 6 years later to be close to family again and I would continue photographing wonderful families in the sweet Georgia landscapes and traveling all over the country for sessions, but in early 2022 the kids and I were longing to be back in Colorado where this dream and our family adventure really came to life.

Fast forward to now, photography has afforded me the ability to be a stay-at-home, homeschooling, business-owning, solo mama! I may stay busy but I wouldn't have it any other way! I not only photograph beautiful families all over the country, but I also help other photographers follow their passion and make it into a career! I love to teach others what I know and I get so excited for other women to follow their dreams so it can take them where their heart desires for their families! It's been a wonderful and exciting decade and I can't wait to see what amazing adventures will come in the next 10!
